About Dr. Chai

Dr. Bryan Chai first discovered his love for oral and maxillofacial surgery during dental school at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He was introduced to the specialty during the oral surgery rotation and enjoyed the treatment he provided his patients. He finds it extremely rewarding to restore patients' oral health and see how a new smile and renewed function can change someone's life.

Dr. Chai began his career practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Denver Health resident education program. As a staff surgeon, he treated a wide variety of conditions with an emphasis on facial trauma and reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, benign oral pathology, and dentoalveolar surgery. He looks forward to leveraging this experience and expertise to help patients at Dental Implants & Oral Surgery of Longmont achieve exceptional surgical outcomes.

Education & Residency

Dr. Chai earned his doctorate in dental surgery in 2013 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. While completing dental school, he also earned a PhD in neuroscience. He went on to complete his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Dental Health Medical Center, where he gained hands-on experience working alongside trained surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Memberships & Certifications

Dr. Chai is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). He also is an active member of the Colorado Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the Colorado State Dental Association. Dr. Chai is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

Outside the Office

Dr. Chai has been a teacher all his life. He taught martial arts in high school, led preparatory classes for dental school admissions in college, and his first job as an oral surgeon was instructing oral surgery residents. He enjoys spending time with his wife, his high-school sweetheart, and their 3 kids and 2 dogs. His hobbies include golf, rock climbing, snowboarding, and traveling with his family to new places around the world.
